Thirty packs, five cards, one Mega Darkrai

Abyss Eye (アビスアイ, M5) is a Japanese MEGA expansion pack released on 22 May 2026. Each pack holds 5 cards and a box holds 30 packs. Of the set's 118 cards, 81 are numbered and 37 sit beyond the list as secret rares: 12 AR, 18 SR, 6 SAR and a single MUR.

The set is built around Mega Darkrai ex, with Mega Zeraora, Mega Chandelure and Mega Excadrill beside it, Gladion of Alola as a supporter and a new trainer, Gwynn. What you buy here is the Japanese print, on Japanese card stock, in the 30-pack box shown above.

02 · The story

Darkness, lightning and a maze of fire

The official copy sets the mood in one line: the glare of darkness — Mega Darkrai ex descends. Around it the set arranges three ways to fight: Mega Zeraora, swift as wind and lightning, striking and withdrawing; Mega Chandelure, a maze of fire that is hard to escape; and Mega Darkrai itself, which the copy describes as ruling the battle through the power of darkness. Gladion's Final Battle brings Alola's rival to the set, and Gwynn is a trainer new to the game.

Beyond the numbered list the set gives each ex a Super Rare, six cards a Special Art Rare — Mega Zeraora, Mega Chandelure, Mega Darkrai, Morpeko, Gladion's Final Battle and Gwynn, the last drawn by Naoki Saito — and closes at № 118 with the Mega Ultra Rare: Mega Darkrai ex, the card on the box.

Is this the Japanese or the English set?
Japanese. Abyss Eye (M5) is the Japanese MEGA expansion pack released on 22 May 2026. The English game printed these cards later inside the set Pitch Black, with its own numbering.
Who is Gwynn?
A trainer new to the card game, introduced in this set with a regular card, a Super Rare and a Special Art Rare drawn by Naoki Saito.
What is MUR rarity?
MUR stands for Mega Ultra Rare, the top rarity of the Japanese MEGA era. Abyss Eye has one MUR card: Mega Darkrai ex, № 118.
How many cards are in a box?
30 packs × 5 cards = 150 cards. The set list itself has 118 cards (81 numbered + 37 secret rares); a box does not contain the full set.
What does “sealed, never resealed” mean?
The box arrives in the original Japanese factory shrink film, as it left the manufacturer. We do not open or re-wrap boxes.
Is there a version without shrink film?
Not for this set at the moment. When a no-shrink option exists, it appears as a separate choice on the product page, photographed as it ships.
