Set overview

Every card in CP5 featured a holographic finish, making the entire set sparkle — hence the "Dream Shine" (ドリームキラ) name. The set was released during the Pokémon 20th anniversary year and tied into the global Mythical Pokémon distribution events running throughout 2016. It sat within the XY BREAK era. Booster packs contained four cards each.

Key cards

The set featured six Pokémon-EX: Hoopa-EX, Zygarde-EX, Latios-EX, Rayquaza-EX, Yveltal-EX, and Xerneas-EX. Yveltal-EX and Xerneas-EX appeared as secret rares beyond the main 36-card numbering.

Mythical Pokémon highlights included Full Art holofoil versions of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Genesect, Diancie, and Magearna. Legendary Pokémon like Moltres, Suicune, Darkrai, White Kyurem, Zygarde, and Rayquaza completed the roster. The all-holo nature of the set made every pull visually striking.
