Visão geral do set

The 20th Anniversary set was a love letter to the original Pokémon TCG Base Set, featuring updated versions of iconic Generation I Pokémon with modern EX, Mega Evolution, and BREAK mechanics. Many cards recreated classic Base Set illustrations in a contemporary style. The set bridged the XY BREAK era and the upcoming Sun & Moon transition. Booster packs contained five cards each.

Cartas principais

The three Kanto starters took centre stage: Charizard-EX and M Charizard-EX, Blastoise-EX and M Blastoise-EX, and Venusaur-EX and M Venusaur-EX — each available in regular and Full Art versions. Pidgeot-EX and M Pidgeot-EX, Dragonite-EX, Mewtwo-EX, and Pikachu-EX rounded out the EX lineup.

BREAK cards included Ninetales BREAK, Starmie BREAK, Nidoking BREAK, and Machamp BREAK. The M Charizard-EX Full Art secret rare became the set's most valuable chase card, evoking nostalgia for the original Base Set Charizard.
