01 · What is this set

Twenty-five years of the anime, in one Extra Booster

Anime 25th Collection (EB-02) is the second Japanese One Piece Card Game Extra Booster, released on 25 January 2025 to mark 25 years of the TV anime. A pack holds 6 cards; a box holds 24 packs. The official list counts 61 types.

Those 61 numbered cards break down into 1 Leader, 29 Commons, 21 Rares, 9 Super Rares and 1 Secret Rare — both the Leader and the Secret Rare are Monkey.D.Luffy. The official card list runs to 105 entries, because 18 parallel prints and 26 special cards sit alongside them: the Leader, every Super Rare and seven Rares carry one parallel each, the Secret Rare carries two (one of them against a manga-panel background), and 26 Leaders from EB-01 and OP-05 to OP-08 return as special prints with gold lettering and new anime illustrations. What you buy here is the Japanese print, in the Japanese box.

02 · The story

“All cards feature new illustrations by the TV anime’s artists”

The official copy makes two promises. First, every card in the set carries an original illustration drawn by animators from the ONE PIECE TV anime — the set is a commemorative release for the anime’s 25th anniversary. Second, the cards are built to strengthen Leaders from earlier packs, with the Alabasta and Dressrosa types named as examples.

The single new Leader is Monkey.D.Luffy in green/purple (EB02-010), with an alternate-art parallel by Katsumi Ishizuka. The nine Super Rares are Yamato, Arlong, Jewelry Bonney, Nefeltari Vivi, Sanji & Pudding, Sengoku, Trafalgar Law, Enel and Vegapunk, each with one parallel. The Secret Rare is Monkey.D.Luffy again, EB02-061 in purple, with two parallels — a regular alternate art by Tatsuya Nagamine, and a second drawn against a manga-panel background.

Six of the Rares are event cards named after the anime’s opening themes — The Peak, We Are!, Hope, BRAND NEW WORLD, Kokoro no Chizu and UUUUUS! — and the pack also brings back 26 Leaders from Memorial Collection and OP-05 to OP-08 as special prints: gold lettering, new anime-style art, from Kouzuki Oden and Uta to Boa Hancock, Monkey.D.Dragon and Tony Tony.Chopper.

09 · Questions

Before you open one

Is this the Japanese or the English set?

Japanese. Anime 25th Collection (EB-02) is the second Japanese Extra Booster, released on 25 January 2025 with 6 cards per pack and 24 packs per box. The English edition followed on 9 May 2025 with the same card numbers, but 12 cards per pack.

What makes this set different from other Extra Boosters?

It was released for the 25th anniversary of the ONE PIECE TV anime, and the official copy states that every card carries a new illustration drawn by the anime’s animators. It also reprints 26 Leaders from earlier sets as special cards with gold lettering and anime-style art.

What are the 26 special cards?

Leaders from Memorial Collection (EB-01) and from OP-05 to OP-08, reprinted with their original card numbers, gold lettering and new anime illustrations — for example Kouzuki Oden, Uta, Boa Hancock, Monkey.D.Dragon, Tony Tony.Chopper and Carrot. They are listed on the official card list alongside the 61 numbered EB-02 cards.

What is the Secret Rare?

One: Monkey.D.Luffy, EB02-061. It carries two parallel entries in the official list — a regular alternate art and one drawn against a manga-panel background.

Why are there cards named after songs?

Six Rare event cards take their names from the anime’s opening themes: The Peak, We Are!, Hope, BRAND NEW WORLD, Kokoro no Chizu and UUUUUS!.
