How to Compare Japanese TCG Wholesale Quotes

Compare Japanese Pokémon and One Piece wholesale quotes using the same products, condition, quantities, destination and payment method. The lowest box price does not always give you the lowest order total.

Start with one identical order specification

Send each supplier a list of exact set codes, purchase units and quantities. Specify Japanese-language products and the packaging condition you require. State whether you want individual booster boxes or an intact manufacturer case. A shipping carton containing loose boxes is not the same purchase as an original factory case.

Confirm the number of boxes in the quoted case for that specific release. Do not apply one game's or one set's case configuration to every product. If the quotations cover different conditions or release versions, resolve those differences before comparing totals.

Request these details in writing

  • Products: set code, language, unit type, packaging condition, quantity, unit price and line total.
  • Availability: confirmed stock or preorder status, dispatch estimate and any split-shipment arrangement.
  • Shipping: destination, service, shipping amount and whether any other delivery costs remain.
  • Payment: invoice currency, payment method and any seller surcharge.
  • Import costs: which charges, if any, are included or prepaid, and which are excluded.
  • Validity: the expiry date or time of the quotation and what confirms the order.

Unknown amounts should remain marked “not yet quoted”. Filling them with zero makes an incomplete offer appear cheaper than a complete one.

Worked example: a cheaper box, a more expensive order

Illustration only: the following offers are invented to demonstrate the calculation. They are not PulloraX prices or quotations from another business. Both cover 12 identical individual booster boxes in the same condition. For illustration, US$1 = ¥150; this is not a live exchange rate. Amounts exclude payment and import charges.

Two illustrative offers for the same 12-box order
Cost Offer A Offer B
One box ¥8,000
US$53.33
¥8,300
US$55.33
12 boxes ¥96,000
US$640.00
¥99,600
US$664.00
Shipping ¥18,000
US$120.00
¥9,000
US$60.00
Products + shipping ¥114,000
US$760.00
¥108,600
US$724.00
Per box, including shipping ¥9,500
US$63.33
¥9,050
US$60.33

Offer B's box price is higher, but its products-plus-shipping total is ¥5,400 (US$36.00) lower for this order. That is ¥450 (US$3.00) less per box before payment and import charges. Compare those remaining charges before choosing a supplier.

Keep payment and currency costs visible

Choose a comparison currency and use the same reference rate for both quotations. Keep each original invoice amount alongside the converted estimate. Your payment provider's actual conversion and fees may differ from the reference calculation.

A quoted surcharge also needs a calculation base. Ask whether it applies to products only or to products plus shipping and other invoiced charges. PulloraX's current wholesale payment methods and quote-validity terms are listed in the Wholesale FAQ; the written order confirmation identifies the amounts for your order.

Separate the invoice total from the final delivered cost

The supplier invoice may not contain every charge associated with delivery. Ask what the stated shipping arrangement includes and whether anything remains payable to the carrier or destination authorities. If a charge is prepaid, record it once; do not add it again as an estimated unpaid charge.

For comparison, use: products + shipping + applicable payment costs + any import or clearance amounts not already included. If the last amounts have not been confirmed, describe the result as a subtotal, not a final delivered price. This guide does not assign a universal tax rate to trading cards.

Use the per-box result carefully

For identical boxes, divide the comparable order total by the number of boxes. For a mixed order, keep each product's line total and make your shipping allocation method explicit. Equal shipping per box may be misleading if the boxes differ greatly in size, weight or protective packaging.

Compare offers issued at similar times. A quotation from last week and one from today can reflect different availability and market conditions. Ask for refreshed confirmation before treating either as an order you can place.

Prepare a PulloraX wholesale request

Include your business name, product links or set codes, exact quantities, destination country and postal code, required packaging condition and preferred payment method. Ask for the product subtotal, shipping and any other applicable charges to be shown separately.

Apply through the PulloraX wholesale page or contact wholesale@pullorax.com. For packaging and seller checks before your first purchase, read the Japanese Pokémon buying checklist.

Copy this quote-request template

Copy the text and fill in the brackets. Repeat the product line for each item so that important details stay visible when you compare offers.

Business name: [name]

Delivery destination: [country, city and postal code]

Product: [set name and code] · Language: Japanese

Unit and quantity: [exact number of booster boxes or original manufacturer's cases]

Required packaging: [with shrink / no shrink / original factory seal — as appropriate for the product]

Contents per unit: [please confirm packs per box, cards per pack and boxes per case, as applicable]

Availability: [in stock or preorder] · Please state the estimated dispatch date

Payment: [preferred method] · Please show JPY alongside a USD or EUR estimate and the exchange rate used

Please separate unit prices, product subtotal, shipping and additional charges, and identify included and still-unconfirmed import charges.

Please state when the quote expires and what is required to confirm the order.

If an original case is essential, ask for explicit confirmation that its factory closure is intact. An equivalent number of individual boxes is not an automatic substitute. For help interpreting packaging concerns, see the guide to suspicious or resealed packaging.
