Thirty packs, five cards, ninety-four cards in the set

Future Flash (未来の一閃, SV4M) is a Japanese expansion pack in the Scarlet & Violet series, released on 27 October 2023 alongside its paired set Ancient Roar (SV4K). Each pack holds 5 cards and a box holds 30 packs.

Of the set’s 94 cards, 66 are numbered and 28 sit beyond the main list: 12 AR, 9 SR, 5 SAR and 2 UR. What you buy here is the Japanese print, on Japanese card stock, in the 30-pack box shown above.

02 · The story

The Future half of a two-set day

「古代」「未来」のポケモン、襲来！ — the official line announced two sets at once on 27 October 2023. Future Flash carries the 未来 (Future) side, Ancient Roar the 古代 (Ancient) side, and each box is its own set with its own numbering.

The official page leads with two Future Paradox Pokémon ex. Iron Valiant ex has the Ability Tachyon Bit, which puts 2 damage counters on one of the opponent’s Pokémon; Iron Hands ex has the attack Amp You Very Much, which takes one extra Prize card. Iron Valiant ex is the only Pokémon printed in gold here — this set closes with just two Ultra Rares — and it is also the set’s Special Art Rare by kantaro. Toxtricity ex, Aegislash ex, Altaria ex and Maushold ex fill out the Pokémon ex, with Roark, Tulip and Professor Turo as the Trainers. The Future Trainers shown alongside them are Future Booster Energy Capsule, Techno Radar and Professor Turo’s Scenario.

Is this the Japanese or the English set?
Japanese. Future Flash (未来の一閃, SV4M) is the Japanese expansion pack released on 27 October 2023. In English its cards were merged with those of Ancient Roar into Paradox Rift, released on 3 November 2023.
What is the difference between Future Flash and Ancient Roar?
They launched the same day as a pair. Future Flash is the Future (未来) half, headed by Iron Valiant ex and Iron Hands ex; Ancient Roar is the Ancient (古代) half, headed by Roaring Moon ex and Sandy Shocks ex. Each is its own set with its own numbering and its own box.
Are there ACE SPEC cards in this set?
No. ACE SPEC returned to the Japanese game in January 2024, with Wild Force (SV5K) and Cyber Judge (SV5M). Future Flash, from October 2023, has none — Counter Catcher (№ 059) is a plain Item here, even though its English print is an ACE SPEC card.
How many cards are in a box?
30 packs × 5 cards = 150 cards. The set list itself has 94 cards (66 numbered + 28 beyond the list); a box does not contain the full set.
What does “sealed, never resealed” mean?
The box arrives in the original Japanese factory shrink film, as it left the manufacturer. We do not open or re-wrap boxes.
Is there a version without shrink film?
When a no-shrink option exists for a set, it appears as a separate choice on the product page, photographed as it ships.
Do you ship to Germany and France?
Yes. Every parcel ships tracked with FedEx. Shipping is calculated at checkout from the destination and the weight of your cart.
