01 · What is this set

The best of the first two years, reprinted with new clothes

ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST (PRB-01) is the first Japanese Premium Booster and the first-ever reprint pack of the One Piece Card Game, released on 27 July 2024. A pack holds 10 cards; a box holds 10 packs. The official list counts 111 card types plus 30 DON!! cards — 141 in all.

The 111 break down into 1 Leader, 23 Commons, 25 Uncommons, 21 Rares, 29 Super Rares, 8 Secret Rares and 4 Promotion cards, gathered from OP-01 to OP-06, the Starter Decks, Memorial Collection and the promo pool. Only one card is new: the red Sanji Leader, PRB01-001. Everything else is a favourite coming back — and most of them come back in more than one form: a pirate-flag foil, a full-art parallel, a newly drawn parallel or, for ten cards, a manga-panel super parallel. What you buy here is the Japanese print, in the Japanese box.

02 · The story

“Popular cards from the past, gathered in one pack”

Bandai’s own copy for the set is “the most popular cards from the past, gathered in one pack”, and the pack keeps that promise in three layers. The first is the pirate-flag foil (海賊旗フォイル): a Common, Uncommon or Rare reprinted with the crew’s jolly roger floating across the whole card and a map-style frame borrowed from the Super Rares. The second is the full-art parallel (フルアート): the original illustration extended over the frame and text box, in the style of the Premium Card Collection sets.

The third layer is the one collectors chase: more than 50 newly drawn parallels, from artists such as lack (Shanks), Hashimoto Q (Yamato, Koala, Smoothie), Akira EGAWA (Katakuri, Doflamingo), Anderson (Whitebeard, Borsalino), Sunohara (Mihawk), TAPIOCA (Luffy, Chopper), funbolt (Kuzan, Kaido), otton (Otama, Sabo, Yamato), phima (Marco, Sanji) and Studio Vigor (Three Thousand Worlds, Kaido). Several cards that never had a parallel before — Otama, Izo, Brannew, Belo Betty — get one here for the first time.

Above all of that sit ten super parallels: manga-panel prints of Shanks, Luffy (OP-05), Zoro, Sogeking, Ace, Sabo, Law, Kid and Chopper — all previously released — plus a brand-new Nami from OP-01 that exists only in this set. Reprinted super parallels carry a small PRB-01 mark in the bottom-left corner so they can be told from the originals. The 30 new DON!! cards follow the same logic: a normal version in every pack, a foil parallel roughly one per box, and a gold super-parallel roughly one per carton. And a small number of packs are “super parallel packs”, in which all ten cards are super parallels.

09 · Questions

Before you open one

Is this the Japanese or the English set?
Japanese. ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST (PRB-01) was released in Japan on 27 July 2024 with 10 cards per pack, 10 packs per box. The English edition, PREMIUM BOOSTER -ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST- [PRB-01], followed on 8 November 2024 and became tournament legal on 15 November 2024.
Is anything in this set new, or is it all reprints?
One new card: the red Sanji Leader, PRB01-001 (Life 5, 5000 power, Straw Hat Crew), also available as a manga-art parallel. Everything else is a reprint from OP-01 to OP-06, the Starter Decks, Memorial Collection or the promo pool — but with new foil treatments and more than 50 newly drawn parallel illustrations, plus 30 new DON!! card designs.
What are the “pirate-flag foil” and “full-art” cards?
Two of the set’s special treatments for Common, Uncommon and Rare reprints. The pirate-flag foil shows the character’s jolly roger floating across the entire card, with a map-style frame; the full-art parallel extends the original illustration over the frame and text box. Most reprinted C, UC and R cards appear in both.
What is a super parallel, and which cards have one?
A manga-panel print — the character drawn against panels from the original manga. PRB-01 has ten: Shanks OP01-120, Luffy OP05-119, Zoro OP06-118, Sogeking OP03-122, Ace OP02-013, Sabo OP04-083, Law OP05-069, Kid OP05-074, Chopper EB01-006 and a new Nami OP01-016. Reprints carry a small PRB-01 mark in the bottom-left corner.
How are the DON!! cards distributed?
There are 30 new DON!! motifs, from Luffy, Zoro and Ace to Uta, Rebecca and Rosinante. Each has a normal version (one per pack), a foil parallel (about one per box) and a gold super-parallel (about one per carton).
