01 · What is this set

The war that ended an era

Paramount War (頂上決戦, OP-02) is the Japanese One Piece Card Game booster pack released on 4 November 2022. A pack holds 6 cards plus one index card. The official list counts 121 types.

Those 121 numbered cards break down into 8 Leaders, 45 Commons, 30 Uncommons, 26 Rares, 10 Super Rares and 2 Secret Rares — Uta and Kuzan. The product page counts 27 parallel prints in the packs; the official card list holds 154 entries in total, because six full-art box-insert prints are listed alongside them. What you buy here is the Japanese print, in the Japanese box.

02 · The story

“Experience that fierce battle with One Piece Cards.”

The second booster the game ever released goes straight to its biggest battle. The theme is the Marineford arc, and the card list reads like a roll call from it: Edward.Newgate, Portgas.D.Ace, Monkey.D.Garp, Sakazuki, Kuzan, Borsalino, Marco, Squard, Emporio.Ivankov, Magellan. The official page pairs this with a mechanical point — black, which had debuted in the Starter Deck Navy [ST-06] two months earlier, now enters in full force, and multicolour Leaders arrive in new combinations.

Eight Leaders open the set: Edward.Newgate in red, Monkey.D.Garp in red/black, Kin’emon in green, Sanji in green/blue, Emporio.Ivankov in blue, Magellan in purple, Zephyr in purple/black and Smoker in black. Every one has a parallel, and all eight are drawn in manga style. The two Secret Rares are Uta (OP02-120) and Kuzan (OP02-121), each with one parallel. Portgas.D.Ace (OP02-013) is the only card in the set with two. Separately from the pack parallels, a box carries one full-art bonus card drawn at random from six: Squard, Kouzuki Toki, Boa Hancock, Minokoala, Tashigi and Donquixote Rosinante.

Is this the Japanese or the English set?

Japanese. Paramount War (OP-02) is the Japanese booster pack released on 4 November 2022. The English edition followed on 10 March 2023 with the same card numbers.

What are the Secret Rares?

Two: Uta (OP02-120) and Kuzan (OP02-121). Each of them also exists as a parallel print.

What is the box bonus card?

The official page states that one card is inserted at random per box, drawn from six full-art prints: Squard (OP02-009), Kouzuki Toki (OP02-031), Boa Hancock (OP02-059), Minokoala (OP02-086), Tashigi (OP02-105) and Donquixote Rosinante (OP02-108). They are separate entries in the official card list, on top of the 27 parallels in the packs.

Does this set have special cards or a Treasure Rare?

Neither. The official Japanese rarity filters return no results for SP or TR in this set.
