Japanese Pokémon card release calendar 2025–2026

Every Japanese set since the start of 2025, with the day it reached Japanese shelves and the day — and name — its English print followed. Dates from the official Japanese and English Pokémon sites; updated as new sets are announced.

In short

  • Japan releases first. In 2025–2026 the English print followed between six and fourteen weeks later.
  • Two Japanese sets often become one English set: Glory of Team Rocket + Heat Wave Arena → Destined Rivals; Mega Brave + Mega Symphonia → Mega Evolution.
  • The MEGA series began with Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia on 1 August 2025.
  • 30th Celebration (16 September 2026) was the first set released in Japan and worldwide on the same day.

How to read this calendar

One row per Japanese set. The left side is the Japanese release: set name, its Japanese title, the set code you will find on the box and on every card, and the day it went on sale in Japan. The right side is the English print — its name, which is usually different, and its release date. Where a set has a file in this magazine, the row links to it; where the box is in the vault, it links to the box.

Every Japanese date comes from the product page on the official Japanese site, pokemon-card.com. Every English date comes from The Pokémon Company International's press releases or pokemon.com. We do not list rumoured sets: a name that exists only as a trademark is not on this page until it has an official date.

Japan first, English later

Since the start of 2025 the gap between a Japanese release and its English print has run from six weeks (Glory of Team Rocket → Destined Rivals, Black Bolt and White Flare) to fourteen (Storm Emeralda → Delta Reign). Two Japanese sets are often folded into one English expansion, which is why the same English name appears twice in the calendar and why the same card wears a different number on each side — the Japanese vs English guide explains that in full.

The exception so far is 30th Celebration, released on 16 September 2026 in Japan and in English on the same Wednesday: the first time a set has launched everywhere at once.

What is coming

The next English release is Delta Reign on 6 November 2026 — the print of Storm Emeralda, which has been out in Japan since 31 July. On the Japanese side, The Pokémon Company has revealed a new series logo, ex★, without sets or dates yet; this page will carry them when they are official.

Good to know

Where do these dates come from?
Japanese dates from the set's product page on pokemon-card.com, the official Japanese site. English dates from The Pokémon Company International's press releases and pokemon.com. If a date cannot be confirmed on an official page, it is not listed.
Why does the same English name appear twice?
Because the English print combined two Japanese sets. Destined Rivals holds Glory of Team Rocket and Heat Wave Arena; Mega Evolution holds Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia. Each Japanese set keeps its own box, list and set code.
How long after Japan does the English set come out?
In 2025–2026, between six and fourteen weeks. It is not a fixed rule — 30th Celebration was released worldwide on the same day.
Can I buy a Japanese box before the English set exists?
Yes — that is the normal order. Every box in the calendar that shows “View the box” is in the PulloraX vault now, factory-sealed, and ships tracked.
Will the calendar include the next MEGA sets?
As soon as they have an official release date on pokemon-card.com. Names that circulate before that — from trademark filings or leaks — are left out on purpose.
